The final installation could never be successful without the control of raw materials in their origin. North Star Lumber joined Grupo Ig in 1992, as our purchase centre for the acquisition, processing and supply of wood from the USA. Its excellent management has turned Grupo Ig into the first European importer of American oak and the unquestionable leading company in the Spanish market as for the production and distribution of the said species.

With more than 100 employees and half a million m² in surface, it selects and prepares more than 100,000 m³ of raw materials to be sent door to door to our port facilities in the Port of Vigo. Its headquarters are in Mobile (Alabama), where it has its own loading docks, alongside another office in Nashville (Tennessee).
