Instructions of Installation

Always place the laminated floor in parallel to the main luminous source of the room.

In long and narrow rooms, make the installation in lenghtwise direction, this way the stability  of the material will improve.

In the case of making the installation on the floor of several rooms, separate the surfaces in the area surrounding the doors, with the help of the profiles adapted for it. 10 mm of distance  must be anticipated between the edges and all the objects of fixed location and walls. Rooms with a maximum length of 10 sqm can be covered. (the value calculated for the joints of the edges is, for each side, of 1.5 mm per linear meter of wall length). This distance of expansion must be respected unavoidably, and it must not be filled or occupied by electrical cables or any other type of objects.

The installation

After the subsoil is properly prepared, first place the PE lamina as steam closing (not in case of wood floors). The plastic lamina must be overlapped in a minimum width of 20-30 cm, and next to the walls it must be bent upwards to a height of 5-10 cm. Once this operation is done, place the intermediate layer of your election.

Start at the left corner of the room, and place the elements in such a way that the tongue-piece side is oriented towards the wall. Be careful to maintain a lateral distance of 10mm with respect to the wall.

With the remaining piece of the first row the following one will begin. Consider that the frontal unions must be moved at least 30 cm from the previous row.

Place the first element of the second row in the groove of the elements already installed. Take the following one, insert it in angle at the front side in the element that is already flat on  the ground directing it as close as possible to the longitudinal side of the row that is in its original position.

Now take with both hands the element just installed and raise it slightly (with this movement the adjacent element will also rise slightly). Now block the longitudinal side joining the elements for this, it is advisable to stand on the placed surface. When thereīs no hollow between the elements, this means that the union is correctly closed and the element can be deposited in the floor totally flat.

In case it is still hollow between the two panels, repeat the previous operation, but exerting greater pressure or verify the previous row. This technique will be applied the positioning of all the remaining row and the rest of the surface. The last element of the row adjusts as follows: Rotate it of so that the side of the groove leans against the groove of the previous element, and the frontal part of the element maintains an interval or 10mm. with the wall. Cut now the element with the saw to the wished length. You can immobilize the element with the help of a pull bar. The frames of the existing doors can be shortened. Take care of leaving enough distance for expansion,  a minimum of 10 mm. underneath the frame of the door. If it is not possible to introduce the element underneath the necessary angle of blockade, thighten to each other flattening them. If the frames of the door have not been cut, you will have to leave a expansion joint of 10 mm minimum between the laminated floor and the frame of the door.

Irregularities of the walls/ loosening of the blockade

In some occasions, the first floor row must be adapted to an irregular wall. For this, reproduce first the contour of the wall on the elements, without forgetting to leave the separation of about 10 mm. Place again the cut elements of ground, from left to right.

The last row

The last row adjusts placing the corresponding element so that it covers the last placed row. With a spare piece of laminate of the original width and a pencil, transfer the contour of the wall to the panel. Place the trimmed element in the guide groove of the previous row and block it like in the previous rows with the pull bar.

Final task

Retire all the space wedges. Place the skirting boards; when doing this, never fix the strips to the floor. The  expansion joints around pipes and other objects are covered with rosettes or they are obturated with a paste for joints equipped with permanent elasticity. In the places where skirting boards cannot be placed, the lateral joint must be obturated with the same paste for joints of permanent elasticity. Please donīt burn the remains of laminate in stoves, chimneys or other domestic heating devices.
